Aims: To raise knowledge and enhance awareness of issues in connection with deafness and hearing loss.

Objectives: To help break down barriers to communication in all its forms and be aware of the communication needs of people with different hearing losses ranging from profound to mild.

Also to examine ways in which we respond to people with a hearing loss.

During the session participants will have the opportunity of trying out hearing aids, practice some lipreading exercises and also learn the alphabet in British Sign Language.

At the end of the session each participant will receive a training pack covering the session and a Certificate of Attendance.
